how to play pin panic
Pin panic is a free pin pulling puzzle game. A young knight waits in a stone tower next to his empty chest, while gold, lava, water, boulders, bombs and the odd goblin sit behind golden pins. Pull the pins in the right order to pour the gold into his chest and keep everything hot, heavy or hungry away from him.
- Tap a pin to pull it out. Whatever it was holding falls, rolls or flows, and it all behaves the way it looks.
- Gold counts only once it drops into the chest. Lava that touches him, a boulder that falls on him, a bomb that goes off near him or a goblin that can walk to him ends the level.
- Water and lava make stone. Lava melts gold. A boulder or a bomb takes out a goblin, and so does lava. A bomb goes off where it lands and breaks crates, unless it got wet first.
- At the end he has to be able to walk to his chest, so clear the way and drop him down when it's safe.
- Get 30% of the gold into the chest for one star, 60% for two and 90% for three. Each win opens the next level.
Keyboard: Tab moves between pins and Enter or Space pulls one. The number keys 1 to 9 pull pins in reading order, R restarts, L opens the level list, and Esc goes back to the menu.
tips
- Before you pull anything, follow each pin's load all the way down. Where does it land, and what is already sitting there?
- One long pin can hold up two chambers at once. Make both sides safe before you pull it.
- Lava cooled into stone is safe to walk on, but stone in the chest's way still blocks gold.
- Let things settle before the next pull. Not every pin needs pulling.
faq
How many levels are there?
Twelve, from a single pull to towers where only a few pin orders out of hundreds work. Tap the grid button to replay any level you've reached.
Is every level solvable?
Yes. A script plays every level's solution and checks it earns three stars, and another one tries every possible pin order to measure how hard each level is.
I'm stuck. Is there a hint?
Yes. Fail a level twice and the hand shows you the next right pin, one pull at a time.
Can I undo a pin?
No. Pins stay out once they're pulled, but you can restart a level as often as you like, in one tap.
Is it the same every time?
Yes. The same pins in the same order always do the same thing, so a plan that worked once works again.
